Quick patch

Although quick patch repairs are not considered the best way to repair potholes, it is a commonly used method due to its high rate of production and lower cost. Often called the 'throw & go' method, this system can be performed at speed with very short notice and minimal impact during busy hours of traffic. As the name suggests, this system is only designed for a quick fix, until such time that a semi-permanent or permanent repair can be performed. Designed to limit the impact of a dangerous traffic hazard in the shortest possible time-frame.

Semi-permanent

Semi-permanent repairs involve removing water and debris from the pothole, forming vertical edges around the pothole using cutting tools, placing the mixture into the hole and then compacting it using vibratory plate compactors, drum vibratory rollers or a tamper. This repair system can be completed during the day or the night and in all weather, including heavy rain. Semi-permanent repairs are fast, cost-effective and provide medium-term durability. These repaired surfaces can be open to traffic immediately after the work is completed.

PermaPlug final logo.JPG

Robacon's proprietary PermaPlug repair system involves the complete removal of the damaged area, then re-construction and stabilisation of the underlying support structure prior to the commencement of any resurfacing work. Once clean vertical edges are formed around the perimeter of the repair section and the base slab has been re-stabilised, new layers are carefully applied, compacted and then cured prior to the application of the following layers. This innovative technique forms a very stable and permanent repair section to the area (a 'plug' if you like) providing superior performance and extended longevity.

This repair system can be undertaken in all weather conditions including heavy rain, as all works can be completed under our Robacon marquee system. PermaPlug repairs are permanent and very cost effective over time by providing long-term durability, and can be opened to traffic immediately after the work is completed. Most PermaPlug repairs are conducted during the daylight hours, but in some instances these repairs can also be undertaken at night.
